The word ‘Religion’ itself is the great word, by which society is controlled, Belief of The God, worship of the God. Some politicians misuse religion for their politics, for their own selfness. But each religion has the great goal to prepare a nice, peaceful, love, faith, goodness and spiritual society. Giving the gift of good human beings to the society and thereby contributing to the welfare of creation is the same basic principle in every religion. There are some common terms and conditions in Hinduism and Christianity.

INCARNATION

The translation of ‘Avatar’ as ‘Incarnation’ is in Christianity. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth (Johan 1.14), the only ‘Son of God’ not in the sense of being created or born. (Johan 1.3). Jesus came to world to fulfill the great job. That means he has incarnated to lead everyone on the path of truth. Miriam also tells in praise that God is omnipotent. It helps the afflicted. Crushes the pride of the egoist. ‘Incarnation’ is also be seen in Hinduism, that supreme Brham incarnates for salvation of the world. It is in (Srimad Bhagavad Gita 2001). ‘Yada yada hi dharmasya’ shri Krishna explains to Arjuna, ‘O Bharata, and there is exaltation of unrighteousness, then I Myself come for the protection of the good, for the destruction of evil- doers, for the sake of firmly establishing righteousness, I am born from age to age.

ASCETICISM

Ascetic is defined as ‘A person who dedicates his or her life to pursuit of contemplative ideals and practices extreme self- denial or self-mortification for religious reasons.’ As Christ said in (Matthew 16:24). ‘Then Jesus told his disciples.’ if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Christianity inspires everyone to asceticism. An example is Jesus Christ. They preach everywhere and repeat one thing that if you want to be fulfilled, you have to share everything. Whatever produce should be distributed among the poor. Only then can heaven be attained, (Bible 19-21,22). In Ishavasya Upanishad, ‘Tena tyaktena bhunjitha….’ (Ishvasy upnishad,2005). Means ‘All this, whatever is there, animate and inanimate in this universe, is pervaded or enveloped by the Supreme God. By renunciation protect the self and do not cover anybody’s wealth. All animate and inanimate beings deserve equal care and regard. Bliss and peace come when we are in harmony with the universe. Kathopanishad also advised to renounce wealth, material world and set out for self-discovery (Katho upnishad,1991). In the holy book of Christianity, the Bible John says that God is the cause, the ruler of the world, in the beginning there was only God. That is why all this creation has been created (hebrews1.3)

MORAL VALUE

Christian ethics teaches which acts, acts, attitude, and personal character traits receive God’s approval and ones do not. The Bible teaches truth, non-violence. Frequently listed moral values are. Acceptance, charity, compassion, cooperation, courage, justice, not cheating, politeness telling the (truth… etc.) In Vedanta shastra, also considered the principles as above for salvation (Vedantasara 1996). In Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishana told to be pure, be self-controlled, and truth.(2/55)

GOD IS OUR REFUGE

Christianity believes that God is our Refuge as a shelter or protection from danger, trouble, from storm. God says your heart will deceive you. God’s word is the only place we find security and protection (John 14.6) In Shrimad Gita, (Chapter 9-18) Shri Krishna says ‘I am the Supreme Goal of all living beings, and I am also their Sustainer, Master, Witness, Abode, Shelter and Friend. I am the origin, end, and Resting Place of creation; I am the Repository and Eternal Seed. (Shrimad Bhagavad Gita,2001).

UNITY

‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts such as the Maha Upanishad (6/71) which means ‘The world is one family’ (Maha Upanishad,2005). The Bible says that the whole world becomes a family for those who surrender to Jesus. He begins to love even the enemy. (Ephesians 3.15)

IMMORAL RELATIONSHIP

In Matthew 5:27-28, Jesus said,’ You heard that it was said,’ You shall not commit adultery; but I say to you that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. In Chhandogya Upanishad (Chapter 8-1), Murder of Brahmin, stealing gold, drinking alcohol, an illicit relationship with one’s teacher’s wife and keeping company with the before mentioned sinners. (Upanishads,2002).

KARMA

In Srimad Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 2-47), ‘You have the right to work only never to its fruits. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction. (Shrimad Bhagavad Gita,2001). “Jesus told ‘This is the work of God- that you believe in the one he has sent’ (John 6:29). No matter how ancient or arcane any religion may be, the aim of each is to build a noble society with noble principles. No religion is superior, no religion is inferior. Many problems are automatically solved by this spirit.
